Samurai uses NC modified acrylic resin. This NC modified acrylic resin makes Samurai different from other brands in the market and gives it strength in quality.

If unused, all Samurai paints can be stored for years without expiring. For Samurai 2K paints, once the chemicals have been mixed, the 2K01 top clear coat should be used within 4 hours, while 2K04, 2K05 and 2K06 surfacers should be used within 24 hours. Other Samurai paints can be kept for years once used.

Most Samurai Paint products can withstand temperatures up to 190°C. Our hi-temp paint can withstand approximately 600°C.

1K coatings do not require a hardener, catalyst or activator and dry or cure on their own. 2K coatings require a hardener before use. 2K coatings generally provide greater durability and are especially suitable for topcoats. Samurai 2K Aerosol System combines the convenience of a spray can with professional results.

One 400ML can may cover approximately 1sqm to 3sqm. Coverage depends on the painter's skill, number of layers, layer thickness and colour selected. Lighter colours may have lower opacity.

It depends on the motorcycle model and the parts being painted. For fairings only on typical models such as XMAX, Raiders and Mlcg, an estimated 2–3 cans of 400ML paint may be required. Painter skill and wastage can affect the quantity needed.

We recommend not using Samurai with other brands because Samurai paint has strong adhesion. When applied over another brand's paint, it may cause the underlying paint to react or result in "biting."

Yes. Samurai can be used on materials such as fiberglass. Sand the surface, apply 2K04 Surface Primer, apply the Samurai colour and finish with 2K01 Top Clear Coat for best results.

Yes. Apply 2KPP Plastic Primer to the chrome-finished item, allow it to dry under hot sun for 30–60 minutes, then sand to P320 before applying the spray paint.

Samurai formulation is specifically designed for motorcycle applications, so it is not recommended for surfaces such as wooden furniture. If spraying on wood, the surface should first be prepared with wood putty or filler before following the regular painting procedure.
