Samurai Kurobushi 1K Flat Color finish Spray Paint System can be used as a top coat, touch-up, restoration solution, or to complete your paint projects for motorcycles, two wheelers, scooty, cars, metal and plastic automotive parts, bicycles, helmets, metal doors, grills, gates, artifacts, wood and metal furniture, acrylic and fibre sheets, plastics, and various other objects and surfaces.

All Samurai products are designed with advanced Japanese technology and are made in Malaysia.

Samurai Kurobushi spray paint is gasoline/petrol resistant and will not dissolve or fade when gasoline is poured on it. It is also crack resistant. Since the paint is designed for motorcycles and exterior items exposed to sun, rain and other weather conditions, its flexibility helps maintain paint integrity when plastics and metals expand and shrink.

With DIY spray paint technology, Samurai Kurobushi provides a professional-quality finish that can be achieved easily at home.

Samurai Kurobushi's special nozzles allow the user to spray as close as 10–12 cm from the object, compared with approximately 28–30 cm for other brands. This helps minimize paint wastage.

Most Samurai Kurobushi paint products can withstand temperatures up to 190°C, while Hi-Temp paint can withstand approximately 600°C.

Choose from Samurai Kurobushi's 1K or 2K Spray Paint Systems. 1K spray paints are economical with approximately 2-year gloss retention, while 2K spray paints provide greater durability, approximately 5-year gloss retention, and excellent weather resistance.

FAQ

What kind of aerosol paint is Samurai?

Samurai is using NC modified acrylic resin. This NC modified acrylic resin makes Samurai different from all the other brands in the market today and gives it strength in quality.

How long can I store the paints?

If unused, all Samurai paints can be stored for years without being expired. For the Samurai 2K paints, once the chemicals have been mixed, the 2K01 top clear coat should be used within 4 hours and the 2K04, 2K05 and 2K06 surfacers should be used within 24 hours.

As for the other Samurai paints, once used, can be kept for years.

Is Samurai Paint product heat resistant?

Most Samurai Paint products can withstand up to 190°C temperature. Our hi-temp paint, however, can withstand a much higher temperature, approximately 600°C.

What is the difference between 1K and 2K?

1K is a term used to describe a coating that does not require a hardener, catalyst or activator. This term can be used to describe single-component paints that dry or cure on their own, such as lacquer, enamel or auto touch-up spray can paints.

2K paints describe a coating that needs to be mixed with hardener before being used or applied. A 1K hardens on its own, is less susceptible to damage from chemicals, moisture or UV rays, and is quicker to apply because drying time is faster. It also does not require extra effort or mixture to apply compared to 2K.

In the end, 2K is more durable and is used especially for topcoat. With our convenient spray can system, buying the paint is not a problem. But with Samurai 2K Aerosol System, you can paint it like a pro.

What is the area that one 400ML can of Samurai paint?

One can may be able to cover between 1sqm – 3sqm of area. The difference is due to the skill of the painter, how many layers, how thick per layer and which color selected; lighter color opacity will be lower.

How many cans can I use to paint my motorcycle?

This will depend on the models and what is to be painted on the motorcycle. But if painting the fairings only, for the typical models such as XMAX, Raiders, Mlcg, etc, the estimated would be 2–3 cans per 400ml of paint.

It will again depend on the skill of the painter. The more practice and experience the painter has, the less wastage will be.

Can I use Samurai together with other brands?

We recommend that you don’t use Samurai with other brands because Samurai’s paint adhesion is stronger as compared with other brands. If Samurai is used on top of other brands, there is a big chance that Samurai will eat the other brands’ paint and will result in what we call biting.

Can use Samurai on fiber glass and other materials not plastic or metal?

Yes, Samurai can be used on other materials such as fiber glass. You need to sand, use 2K04 Surfaces primer, paint it with the Samurai color, and use 2K01 top clear coat for best results.

Step by Step Guide

1

Prepare the Surface

Shake the Samurai Kurobushi spray can thoroughly before use to ensure that the paint is mixed evenly.

3

Apply the Paint

Hold the can at a suitable distance and spray evenly across the surface. Apply multiple light coats rather than one heavy coat.

4

Apply Additional Coats

Continue applying light, even coats until the desired colour coverage and finish are achieved.

6

Complete the Finish

Allow the final coat to dry and cure properly before handling or exposing the painted surface to demanding conditions.
