What kind of aerosol paint is Samurai?

Samurai uses NC modified acrylic resin. This unique NC modified acrylic
resin makes Samurai different from many other aerosol paint brands and
provides excellent strength and quality.
How long can I store Samurai Paint?

If unused, Samurai paints can be stored for years without expiring.
For Samurai 2K paints, once the chemicals have been mixed, the
2K01 Top Clear Coat should be used within 4 hours,
while the 2K04, 2K05 and 2K06 Surfacers should be
used within 24 hours. Other Samurai paints can generally be kept for
years after opening when stored properly.
Is Samurai Paint heat resistant?

Most Samurai Paint products can withstand temperatures of up to
approximately 190°C. Samurai Hi-Temp Paint is designed
for much higher temperatures and can withstand approximately
600°C.
What is the difference between 1K and 2K paint?

1K refers to a single-component coating that does not
require a separate hardener, catalyst or activator. It dries or cures
on its own and is generally quicker and easier to apply.
2K refers to a two-component coating that requires a
hardener to be activated before use. 2K coatings generally provide
greater durability and resistance and are particularly suitable for
applications such as topcoats.
With the Samurai 2K Aerosol System, you can achieve a professional
finish with the convenience of a spray can.
What area can one 400ml can of Samurai Paint cover?

One 400ml can may cover approximately 1m² to 3m².
Actual coverage depends on the painter's skill, number of coats,
thickness of each coat, surface condition and the colour selected.
Lighter colours may require additional coats for better opacity.
How many cans do I need to paint my motorcycle?

The required amount depends on the motorcycle model and the parts being
painted. For fairings only on typical models such as XMAX, Raiders and
MLCG, approximately 2–3 cans of 400ml paint may be
required. Actual usage depends on application technique, number of
coats and painter experience.
Can I use Samurai Paint together with other brands?

We recommend avoiding the use of Samurai Paint together with other
brands. Samurai has strong paint adhesion, and applying it over
incompatible paint from another brand may cause a reaction known as
biting, which can damage or lift the underlying coating.
Can I use Samurai Paint on fiberglass and other materials?

Yes. Samurai can be used on materials such as fiberglass when properly
prepared. For best results, sand the surface, apply
2K04 Surface Primer, apply the desired Samurai colour
coat and finish with 2K01 Top Clear Coat.
Can I use Samurai Paint on chrome-finished items?

Yes. For chrome-finished items, apply 2KPP Plastic Primer
first. Allow the item to dry under hot sun for approximately
30–60 minutes, then sand the surface to approximately
P320 before applying the spray paint. Always follow
the specific product instructions for preparation and drying.
Can I use Samurai Paint on wood?

Samurai Paint formulation is specifically developed for motorcycle
applications. Therefore, we do not recommend using Samurai Paint for
wooden furniture or other wood applications unless the product is
specifically indicated as suitable for that surface.
