FAQ

Samurai is using NC modified acrylic resin. This NC modified acrylic resin makes Samurai different from all the other brands in the market today and gives it strength in quality.
If unused, all Samurai paints can be stored for years without being expired. For Samurai 2K paints, once the chemicals have been mixed, the 2K01 top clear coat should be used within 4 hours and the 2K04, 2K05 and 2K06 surfacers should be used within 24 hours. As for the other Samurai paints, once used, they can be kept for years.
Most Samurai Paint products can withstand up to 190°C temperature. Our hi-temp paint, however, can withstand a much higher temperature, approximately 600°C.
1K is a coating that does not require a hardener, catalyst or activator. It dries or cures on its own. 2K coatings require a hardener before being used or applied.

2K is generally more durable and is especially suitable for topcoats. With the Samurai 2K Aerosol System, you can paint it like a pro.
One can may be able to cover between 1sqm – 3sqm of area. The difference depends on the skill of the painter, number of layers, thickness of each layer and the selected color.
If painting the fairings only, typical models such as XMAX, Raiders and Mlcg may require approximately 2–3 cans per 400ml of paint. Actual usage depends on the painter's skill and application technique.
We recommend that you don't use Samurai with other brands because Samurai's paint adhesion is stronger. Using Samurai over another brand may cause the underlying paint to react or result in "biting."
Yes, Samurai can be used on materials such as fiber glass. Sand the surface, use 2K04 Surface Primer, apply the Samurai color and use 2K01 Top Clear Coat for best results.
Yes. Apply 2KPP Plastic Primer on the chrome finished item, dry under hot sun for 30–60 minutes, then sand to P320 before spray painting.
Samurai formulation is specifically designed for motorcycles and automotive applications, so it is not recommended for wooden furniture. If spraying on wood, the wood should first be processed with wood putty or filler before following the regular painting procedure.

Step-by-Step Guide

Prepare the Surface

Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oil and other contaminants before painting.

Prepare for Spraying

Shake the aerosol can thoroughly before use and test the spray on a small area before applying to the main surface.

Apply the Paint

Spray evenly across the surface using smooth, controlled passes. Avoid applying an excessively thick coat.

Allow to Dry

Allow the applied coating to dry properly before handling or applying any additional coating.
